What We Do

100% Transparency

This is really our point of difference. We take a video recording of EVERY transaction. We have the ability to show video evidence of your donation physically being handed to the intended recipient.

100% of donations direct to cause

Thats Right! Every cent that you donate goes directly to those disadvantaged people that our service is targeting. CHOICE Australia research revealed that some charities receive as little as 10% of the money raised at fundraising events after total Administrative costs are taken into account.

WHO WE ARE

STOP THE TEARS OF POOR PEOPLE (STTOPP) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). STTOPP is also endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). STTOPP is also a registered fundraiser in NSW Australia.

Our mission is to raise funds and provide continuous income for the very poor, starving and deprived families in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The core of our charity is to register more desperate families in Kabul and provide them with yearly income of $1600 AUD per year ($400 quarterly), however we also do Ramadan appeals, winter blanket appeals and other special appeals.

STTOPP is not linked to any religious sects or ethnic groups. Receiving families will purely be chosen based on their living conditions.

Unlike some larger organizations, 100% of donations will reach the poor as we will personally cover transfer, admin and distribution costs.

Mahroofa – May 2019 Kabul, Afghanistan

It is always rewarding and satisfying giving to charity. However, to physically watch my donations’ being handed to those in need is something special. The joy in their faces is easily the best money I’ve spent.
